Some devices consume presence. For example, here's "a DIY instant messenger online contact signalizer picture frame thingy" made by David Bue Pedersen. As you can see from the photo, snapshots of David's friends light up when they are online. In this case, Skype aggregates presence data from multiple contacts. David wrote a Skype plug-in to get the data and route the signals to the circuit board. The microcontroller lights up or turns off the appropriate light. David lost the source code for

Well its been quite a while since updates , ive been busy . Due to very few tutorial updates , i have decided to change the theme a little . Ive added sIFR to the post headings and sidebar headings. So what’s sIFR , well its basically a browser text replacement script. It is used to replace all those dull fonts that are what i say ” Universally Lame ” . sIFR is and abbreviation of (Scalable Inman Flash Replacement) , it uses flash to replace the text with flash using javascript. I heard this thingy on NPR yesterday about stores that will no longer offer plastic bags as of this year (Whole Foods, IKEA) and what manufacturers are doing to keep up with the "green is the new black" trend among, well, everyone. They're producing degradable plastic bags, which is exactly what I picked up the last time I needed trash bags but wanted to stop using the Glad ones I'd been buying for years. I love listen to the radio and I was listening to a very interesting interview yesterday about the television and it’s future in (this case) danish homes. The tendecy is little home theatres. Out goes the old home alter and in comes home theater chairs, high definition flat screen televisions - in several rooms such as the bedroom, livingroom and of course? - kitchen! I must admit I wouldn’t mind to have our television replaced with a flat screen tv instead of the big chunk we have now taking
