The Kiwi, or NZD/USD, has been in a steady downward trend since February. The downward trend in the pair is due to slowing growth in New Zealand, slowing inflation, and the increasing probability that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) will cut interest rates later this year.

It happens every year around this time, both Fringe Fantastic and Poolside Poetry start to tail into an upwards trend, before peaking in August and slowing down as it moves into September. Good news.

On CBC Newsworld today the CBC's reporter, Paul Hunter, said "About half the Afghans turned and fled, so there's clearly some work to be done see box at right in link below]."
